Founded in 2022, Save Duxbury Beach, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 representing beach goers concerned with the direction and management of Duxbury Beach by current leadership of the Duxbury Beach Reservation, Inc., which has deviated from its original mission to balance recreation, conservation and preservation.

For several years, Duxbury Beach Reservation, Inc. has dramatically increased the number of days the beach is closed each year due to avian activity, significantly limiting recreation during the short summer beach season in Massachusetts. For several years, Duxbury Beach Reservation, Inc. has dramatically increased the number of days the beach is closed each year due to avian activity, significantly limiting recreation during the short summer beach season in Massachusetts. These closures have caused a reduction in beach sticker sales because the beach is closed to over sand vehicles from June through mid August (reducing a much- needed revenue stream for the Town.) Prior to 2017, Duxbury Beach Reservation, Inc. recognized the need to balance recreation, conservation and preservation. Save Duxbury Beach is advocating for a return to this important and obtainable balance.
